如来有胜方便，摄护信心，谓以专意念佛因缘，随愿得生他方佛土，常见于佛，永离恶道。
The Thus Come Ones have a supreme skilful means, for gathering and protecting the faithful mind, which is called, with the focused mind mindful of a Buddha’s cause and conditions, to accord with that aspired, attain birth in another direction’s Buddha’s land, for constant sight of the Buddha, and eternal departure from the evil paths.
如修多罗说，若人专念西方极乐世界阿弥陀佛，所修善根，回向愿求生彼世界，即得往生。常见佛故，终无有退。
Like the sūtras say, if people have focused mindfulness of the Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss’ Amitā[bha] Buddha [i.e. Āmítuófó], with those cultivated good roots, dedicate with the Aspiration to seek birth in that land, they will immediately attain rebirth there. Constantly seeing the Buddha thus, to the end without having retrogression [from progress towards Buddhahood].
