Some say poverty breeds crime,
but karmically speaking,
crime can breed poverty too.
If poverty is from bad karma,
how can poverty be an excuse
to create even more bad karma?
If the poor break precepts
to ‘alleviate’ their poverty,
this is but adding fuel to the fire.
Some say the ‘devil’ makes work for idle hands.
Some say ‘he’ does so with the left hand,
as it what not ‘right-ly’ and diligently ‘handled’ must be evil.
But if evil is not in whatever hand that does it,
what to rid is not any hand (or ‘devil’ external),
but greedy, hateful and deluded d/evil/s in the mind.
