Question: I hope to be able to come to Dharma class, if not strapped by work again. Time is running out, but I seem to have no choice but to choose working over learning.
Answer: If being too busy recurs too often, there might need to see if it makes more sense to work towards working less, even if it means getting less pay, or even changing jobs.
We were after all, preoccupied with other worldly matters in our past lives too, which is why we did not focus enough on Dharma learning and practice – thus still being stuck here…. ‘strapped by (endless worldly) work’… while missing our true (spiritual) ‘work’ – towards liberation.
