Sara: Who are Sam and Sara?

Sam: They are you and me of course! And I mean it. They can be everyone and anyone. As you will see, they might be friends, siblings, lovers, spouses… They need not even be a guy and girl. The idea is for readers to easily read themselves into Sam and Sara!

Sara: Why Sam and Sara?

Sam: Why not anyone else? Well, their names are a play of the word ‘Samsara’. The idea is that Sam and Sara are folks in Samsara, who face interesting and challenging situations, that are both potentially frustrating and enlightening at the same time.

Sara: What is Sam and Sara?

Sam: As featured in this comic strip collection of their 100 (mis)adventures, ‘Sam & Sara’ is subtle, direct, zany, zenny, quirky, unpredictable, playful, counterintuitive, philosophical… about the infinite complexities, contradictions and tensions of life. Their experiences are funny, yet not just for laughs, as they are also about our misperceptions of reality, and how we can become kinder and wiser in everyday life. As each episode is self-contained, in a sense, they are the essential nuggets of unconventional wit and wisdom that we look forward to when reading novels and watching movies!

Sara: When is Sam and Sara?

Sam: Sam and Sara began in 2009 as a text-based series of pithy dialogues called ‘A Tit For A Tat’ at moonpointer.com, and was featured regularly in TheDailyEnlightenment.com‘s weekly e-newsletter. A continuing series, there is now more than enough material for about three sequels to this volume! Sam and Sara is however, not three years of age, but timeless in substance. Sam and Sara is always in the now, whenever now is!
