Question: Why should we take interest in learning the Buddha’s teachings?
Answer: We ought to because the core concern of Buddhism is to show us the path to True Happiness (i.e. Enlightenment). Since all of us wish to be truly happy, everyone should be interested in the Dharma (i.e. the Buddha’s teachings).
Not only can the Dharma guide us to True Happiness, it can guide us to guide all others to the same True Happiness too. (This makes it even more wonderful.) In fact, all Buddhas wish every one of us to do so, just as they are doing so now.
Not only is the Dharma of universal interest, it is universally interesting with various methods too, that we can practise to advance towards True Happiness. The only reason anyone might not find the Dharma interesting is due to ignorance about this!
