Extended Gathas in Sanskrit Universal Door Chapter (following end of verses in the popular version):
慈悲救世间，
当来成正觉，
能灭忧畏苦，
顶礼观世音。
With loving-kindness and compassion saving the world,
in the future accomplishing right awakening [Buddhahood],
[to be] able to eradicate suffering of anxiety and fear,
prostrate to Guanshiyin.
[Just as Guanyin Pusa is a Buddha, ‘will’ be a Buddha, emulate Guanyin to be a Buddha, to eradicate your suffering and others’.]
法藏比丘尊，
首座世自在，
修行几百劫，
证无上净觉。
The honourable Fazang [Dharmakara: Dharma Treasury] Bhiksu
[who became Amituofo; Guanyin Bodhisattva’s teacher],
in the chief seat of the [King of] World Ease [Lokeshvara(raja) Buddha],
cultivated [Dharma] practice for several hundred kalpas,
and realised unsurpassable pure awakening [Buddhahood].
[Buddhahood and Pure Land thus accomplished.]
常侍左右边，
扇凉弥陀尊，
示三昧幻力，
供养一切佛。
[Guanshiyin,] often attends on his left and right sides,
fanning to cool the honourable Amita[bha Buddha; Amituofo],
[while] manifesting samadhi’s [meditative concentration] power of illusion,
to make offerings to all Buddhas.
[We too can do this in Pure Land – to increase and perfect compassion [merits] and wisdom, to become Buddhas]
西方清净土，
安养极乐国，
弥陀住彼上，
调御丈夫尊。
The Western Pure Land,
the Land of Peaceful Nurturing and Ultimate Bliss,
Amita[bha Buddha] abides on that land,
as the honourable Tamer of Men.
[We too can learn from Amituofo in Pure Land, like Guanyin Pusa does]
彼土无女人，
不见不净法，
佛子今往生，
乃入莲华藏。
That land is without women
[gender differences or discrimination],
without sight of impure dharmas
[phenomena of mind and matter].
Children of the Buddha now reborn there,
thereupon enter the lotus treasury [of purity].
[To be born in Pure Land is to be born in a Buddha land’s of purity; the spiritual ideal of the Lotus Sutra]
彼无量光佛，
净妙莲华台，
狮座放百光，
如娑罗树王。
That Buddha of Immeasurable Light’s [Amitabha]
pure and wonderful lotus flower throne,
his lion seat emits hundreds of light,
similar to the Sala Tree King [Salendra-raja] Buddha’s.
[Amituofo’s light of compassion and wisdom shines in all directions to bless and receive beings.]
如是世间尊，
三界无等伦，
礼赞积功德，
速成最胜人。
Such is the World-Honoured One,
in the three spheres [of desire, form and formlessness] without equal.
Respectful praise [of him] accumulates meritorious virtues,
for swiftly accomplishment as the most excellent persons
[who practise mindfulness of Amituofo to reach his Pure Land
to quickly attain enlightenment to help all do the same].
