外道邪法,心外求道。
财色名食,迷诱众生。

External paths’ evil teachings, teach seeking of the path externally away from the mind. With wealth, sex, fame and food, confusing and luring sentient beings.

骗钱得财,男女邪色,
虚荣假名,荤莘尽食。

With cheating for money getting wealth, with males and females having sexual misconduct, with false glory faking fame, with meat and five pungent roots all eaten.

金玉满堂,死无分文。
饮食男女,轮回大欲。

With gold and jade filling the hall, when dead without a single cent. With drinking alcohol, eating and sex, they are rebirths’ great desires.

身得健壮,终老病死。
所得名利,来世稍无。

With the body getting health and strength, in the end still ageing, becoming sick and dying. Of those gotten fame and gains, in the next life without a little of them.

戒不精严,装大自在。
非佛菩萨,是魔子孙。

With upholding of precepts not meticulous and strict, pretending to have great ease. Neither Buddhas nor Bodhisattvas, they are Māra’s children and grandchildren.
