诸恶仍在作，
众善未奉行。
守戒不精严，
非深信因果。
With all evils still doing them, and all good yet to practise them. With guarding of the precepts not diligent and strict, one is not with profound faith in the karmic law of cause and effect.
恶因生苦果，
越秽越难净。
身口若染尽，
何能净其意？
With evil causes giving rise to suffering’s effects, the more defiled one is, the more difficult is it to be purified. With the body and mouth, if defiled completely, how is one able to purify that mind?
