If departing from harsh speech, this immediately attains eight kinds of pure karmas. What are the eight?
[i] First, with words not departing from the appropriate.
[ii] Second, with words all beneficial.
[iii] Third, with words definitely according with principles.
[iv] Fourth, with words and phrases beautiful and wonderful.
[v] Fifth, with words that can be accepted and understood.
[vi] Sixth, with words then with trustworthiness.
[vii] Seventh, with words without those that can be ridiculed.
[viii] Eighth, with words complete with love and joy. These are the eight.
If there are those able to dedicate to Anuttarā Samyak Saṃbodhi, when later accomplishing Buddhahood, they are complete with the Thus Come Ones’ pure voice’s form.
