But we have given up the free mind in exchange of our “self”…and we knowingly stain it with greed and desire…and the sad thing is that we are not even aware of the exchange.
very, very true, shuhui…..I so often think this
But the good news is that if we follow Buddha’s teaching, we will definitely gain the awareness, and ultimately realise that we have been “tricked” and “controlled” by our current (karmic) mind. Once we realise it, we can then work hard to get the free mind back (and also help others get their free mind back).
