未必现在仍在行善。

past good karmic rewards,
might not be now still doing good.
Shilashanti (Part 1)
Since time immemorial,
there has been the problem of lookism,
which is to judge by appearances superficially,
which favours the so-called better-looking,
while disadvantaging others less so,
even if oneself is also a victim!
Almost habitually thinking, it is as if…
‘the good must be good-looking,
and the good-looking must be good’,
which also implies that…
‘the bad must be bad-looking,
and the bad-looking must be bad’?
It is as if there is a sliding scale,
with which people judge one another,
that ‘the more beautiful one is,
the better this person must be’,
and ‘the more ugly another is,
the worse that person must be’?
Of course, such discrimination is invalid,
for if it is so easy to know the good from the evil,
none of us should have ever misjudged anyone,
while there are indeed the good-looking who are evil
and the bad-looking who are good,
thus with no way to judge by looks alone.
Yet, there is ‘instinctive’ mis/perception,
as there is some degree of truth,
that ‘one’s goodness
can be expressed as beauty’,
and that ‘one’s evil
can be expressed as ugliness’.
‘While the good-looking experience
past good karmas in looks now, when they run out,
while they create bad karmas, they will change’,
and ‘while the bad-looking experience
past evil karmas in looks now, when they run out,
while they create good karmas, they will change’.
Those good-looking now,
who are doing that bad now,
will be bad-looking sooner or later.
Those bad-looking now,
who are doing that good now,
will be good-looking sooner or later.
The world and our lives experienced
are ever-changing expressions and interactions
of our past and present, good and evil karmas,
which do not always ripen instantly and entirely,
which is why it can be confusing
when trying to judge by appearances. (So, don’t!)

past evil karmic retributions,
