从是西方,过十万亿佛土,有世界名曰极乐。其土有佛,号阿弥陀,今现在说法。
释迦牟尼佛
《佛说阿弥陀经》From here, in the western direction, passing a hundred thousand koṭis of Buddha lands, is a world named “Ultimate Bliss”. In that land, is a Buddha named “Amitā[bha/yus]”[Āmítuófó], now presently speaking the Dharma.

Spiritual Reception
Some might find it unbelievable at first, that we can reach Āmítuófó’s (阿弥陀佛) Western Pure Land Of Ultimate Bliss (西方极乐世界), despite it being a hundred thousand koṭis of Buddha lands (十万亿佛土) away, with this as if ‘too good and incredible’ to be true. (1 koṭi is about 10 million.)
But they have either forgotten, or are not aware, that Āmítuófó, with his Other-power (他力) will come to receive and guide (接引) us with his great supernormal powers (大神通力), thus able to most swiftly bridge the wide gap, which represents our great spiritual estrangement, with this inconceivable (不可思议) yet true (真实).
Worldly Reception
Those ignorant in ancient times will surely find it unbelievable, that they can, from wherever they are, within moments, elevate and traverse to another place many miles away, with a dexterous flying vehicle, as if ‘magical’, that we readily know now — a helicopter.
Just as a helicopter is not even supernormal, yet totally real and believable now, the lotus flower (莲花) vehicle carried and directed by Āmítuófó is also completely true and believable now, on which we will ride, as a teleporter to his Pure Land. Námó Āmítuófó (南无阿弥陀佛)!
If there are good men and good women, who hear this spoken about Amitā Buddha, firmly uphold mindfulness of his name [Āmítuófó]… wholeheartedly without being scattered, when these persons approach life’s end, Amitā Buddha, with many in his noble assembly will appear before them. When these persons’ lives are ending, their minds will not be inverted, and they will immediately attain rebirth in Amitā Buddha’s Land Of Ultimate Bliss.Śākyamuni Buddha
