[1] Rather to be, with this body thrown into a ferocious burning fire, great pit and knife mountain, to the end not breaking and violating the three periods’ all Buddhas’ Sūtras and Discipline, with all women having impure practices…
[2] 宁以热铁罗网，千重周匝缠身，终不以此破戒之身，受于信心檀越一切衣服。…
[2] Rather to be, with a hot iron net, of a thousand layers surrounding and binding the body, to the end not with this body that breaks Precepts, receiving from alms givers with the faithful mind, all their clothes…
[3] 宁以此口吞热铁丸，及大流猛火，经百千劫，终不以此破戒之口，食于信心檀越百味饮食。…
[3] Rather to be, with this mouth swallowing hot iron pills, and great flowing ferocious fire [i.e. molten lava], passing a hundred thousand kalpas, to the end not with this mouth that breaks Precepts, eating from alms givers with the faithful mind, their hundred flavours of drinks and food…
[4] 宁以此身卧大流猛火，罗网热铁地上，终不以此破戒之身，受于信心檀越百种床座。…
[4] Rather to be, with this body lying on great flowing ferocious fire, and a net of hot iron on the ground above, to the end not with this body that breaks Precepts, receiving from alms givers with the faithful mind, their hundred kinds of beds and seats…
[5] 宁以此身受三百矛刺身，经一劫二劫，终不以此破戒之身，受于信心檀越百味医药。…
[5] Rather to be, with this body receiving three hundred spears piercing the body, passing one kalpa, two kalpas, to the end not with this body that breaks Precepts, receiving from alms givers with the faithful mind, their hundred flavours of medicine…
[6] 宁以此身投热铁镬，经百千劫，终不以此破戒之身，受于信心檀越千种房舍屋宅，园林田地。…
[6] Rather to be, with this body thrown into a hot iron cauldron, passing one thousand kalpas, to the end not with this body that breaks Precepts, receiving from alms givers with the faithful mind, their thousand kinds of vihāras and residences, gardens and fields…
[7] 宁以铁锤打碎此身，从头至足，令如微尘，终不以此破戒之身，受于信心檀越恭敬礼拜。…
[7] Rather to be, with an iron hammer, beating and shattering this body, from the head to the feet, made to be like fine dust motes, to the end not with this body that breaks Precepts, receiving from alms givers with the faithful mind, their reverent prostrations…
[8] 宁以百千热铁刀矛，挑其两目，终不以此破戒之心，视他好色。…
[8] Rather to be, with a hundred thousand hot iron knives and spears, tearing out these two eyes, to the end not with this mind that breaks Precepts, seeing other pleasant forms…
[9] 宁以百千铁锥，劖刺耳根，经一劫二劫，终不以此破戒之心，听好音声。…
[9] Rather to be, with a hundred thousand iron awls, cutting and piercing these ear roots, passing one kalpa, two kalpas, to the end not with this mind that breaks Precepts, listening to pleasant sounds…
[10] 宁以百千刃刀，割去其鼻，终不以此破戒之心，贪嗅诸香。…
[10] Rather to be, with a hundred thousand blades and knives, cutting away this nose, to the end not with this mind that breaks Precepts, greedily smelling all fragrances…
[11] 宁以百千刃刀，割断其舌，终不以此破戒之心，食人百味净食。…
[11] Rather to be, with a hundred thousand blades and knives, cutting and severing this tongue, to the end not with this mind that breaks Precepts, eating others’ hundred flavours’ pure food…
[12] 宁以利斧，斩破其身，终不以此破戒之心，贪着好触。…
[12] Rather to be, with a sharp axe, chopping and breaking this body, to the end not with this mind that breaks Precepts, greedily attaching to pleasant touch…
[13] 愿一切众生，悉得成佛。
[13] I vow [to help] all sentient beings, to all attain accomplishment of Buddhahood.
