此论我所造，合和喜笑语，
多损正实说，观义应不应。
As this treatise that I have compiled, is harmonised with laughable words, with many diminishing the right and true said, contemplate the meanings on what corresponds and does not correspond.
如似苦毒药，和合于石蜜，
药为破坏病，此论亦如是。
Like that resembling bitter and unpleasant medicine, mixed with rock candy, the medicine is for destroying sicknesses, this treatise is likewise thus.
正法中戏笑，譬如彼狂药，
佛正法寂定，明照于世间。
The Right Dharma is within the joking and laughing, for example, like that madness-inducing medicine, with the Buddha’s Right Dharma in still concentration, brightly illuminating in the world.
如服吐下药，以酥润体中，
我今以此义，显发于寂定。
Like taking medicine that induce vomit and diarrhoea, with butter moistening the body within, I have now, with these meanings, revealed and elucidated them in still concentration.
如阿伽陀药，树叶而裹之，
取药涂毒竟，树叶还弃之。
Like Āgada medicine, with tree leaves then wrapping it, having obtained the medicine to smear on the poison completely, with the tree leaves, also discarding them.
戏笑如叶裹，实义在其中，
智者取正义，戏笑便应弃。
As the joking and laughing are like the leaves wrapping, with the true meanings within them, those wise will obtain the right meanings, with the joking and laughing then, they should be discarded.
尊者僧伽斯那造作《痴花鬘》竟。
The Elder Saṅghasena’s making of the Delusions’ Flower Garland is now complete.
