The single MOST important
Buddhist Abhidharma (阿毗达磨) lesson
is simple yet profound in its implications.
We can only have ONE single thought
in each thought moment.
If so, when departing,
since yet to be liberated,
we should keep mindfully upholding
the ONE single purest thought possible —
A Buddha’s name, Āmítuófó (阿弥陀佛),
with profound Faith (深信) and sincere Aspiration (切愿)
for rebirth in his Pure Land (净土),
as recommended by all Buddhas,
for the swiftest progress towards Buddhahood,
for delivering one and ALL.
This is why we should focus
on learning, practising and teaching
the precious Pure Land teachings NOW.
