酒肉穿肠过，
佛祖心中留，
世人若学我，
如同进魔道。

Wine and meat through the intestines pass, while the Buddhas and Patriarchs within my mind remain, but worldly people, if imitating me, are like those entering demons’ path.
— Chán Master Dàojì (Jìgōng):

酒肉穿口入，
三毒心中留，
世人仿济公，
如何进佛道？
If wine and meat through the mouth enter, while the three poisons within the mind remain, with worldly people imitating Jìgōng, how can they enter the Buddhas’ path?
三毒：
[1] 贪心食肉饮酒，无知足正念心。
[2] 嗔心厌恶吃素，无慈悲众生心。
[3] 痴心不信因果，不依佛言祖语。
Three Poisons:
[1] With greed’s mind eating meat and drinking wine, without contentment and right mindfulness. [2] With hatred’s mind loathing eating as vegans, without compassion for sentient beings. [3] With delusion’s mind not believing in karmic cause and effect, not relying on the Buddhas’ words and the Patriarchs’ teachings.
