Excerpts

Everything In The Right Places

好雪片片,
不落别处。

— 庞云居士

Good snow!
Flake by flake,
they do not fall on other places.

— Layperson Páng Yún

Do not be afraid. Live while accepting everything [as they are, so that they can be bettered if possible]. Snowflakes fall from the heavens one by one, falling where they should. In the same way, the moments of sadness and hardship in life [karmically] fall in their proper places [for us to learn]. They fall exactly where they should. Don’t try to avoid sadness or hardship. Accept these difficulties… Receive everything as you would receive a single snowflake in your hand, without fear.
