It is unkind to insist that
‘Pure Land is only here and now’,
when this cannot be experienced
by all of us non-Buddhas
in the midst of disasters now.
It is unwise to insist that
‘Pure Land is only here and now’,
when a Buddha’s perfect Pure Land
is to be experienced by all of us
elsewhere and later.
