Justification
Imperfect humans will justify the ‘perfect god(s)’
they purport to believe in,
who will in turn ‘justify’ their ways,
for better and often worse.
Obfuscation
This is why those supposedly ‘godly’
are actually ‘demonic’ at times,
when their cunning evils
are disguised as ‘holiness’.
Projection
Or perhaps some ‘gods’
believed in are really
just projections of all too human good and evil,
which is why they are as convoluted as us.
Disconnection
Evils done to other humans
are often deemed ‘justifiable’
for the good of one’s family,
but which human is not wider kin on earth?
Perpetuation
Greed for wealth and power
can knows no bounds,
especially in the name
of an infinite but false ‘god’.
Continuation
Meanwhile, the supposed ‘god(s)’,
if they even do exist, remain ever silent,
while his/her/their name(s)
continue to be (ab)used.
