How To (Not) Be Disappointed Repeatedly

Why look for the right thing
in the wrong place
for even a moment?

Tip #1:

Just keep expecting only perfect Bodhisattvas
among Buddhists who are ordinary beings here,
instead of making do best you can mindfully,
practising to be a better Bodhisattva,
and practising to reach an actual Pure Land more diligently,
to learn from true Bodhisattvas.

Tip #2:

Just keep expecting only the Right Dharma
from unenlightened ‘teachers’ here,
instead of making do best you can mindfully,
learning from the Buddha’s sūtras and Patriarchs’ commentaries,
and practising to reach an actual Pure Land more diligently,
to learn the Right Dharma there.

Tip #3:

Just keep expecting an actual Pure Land
in this severely defiled land (in this Dharma-Ending Age),
instead of making do best you can mindfully,
practising to not further defile it,
and practising to reach a Pure Land more diligently,
to learn how to create an actual Pure Land.

Why not look for the right thing
in the right way
till you find it?
