What you offer the world
is what you offer yourself,
as you are of this world too.– Stonepeace | Books
Making many offerings at our home shrines daily,
sometimes we might forget why we do so,
and start seeing it as a hassle,
thus missing the precious worth of it all.
This is probably a good time,
to simplify and streamline our offerings,
to refocus and rekindle our spiritual inspiration,
to remember what is essential…
‘Offering this cup of water on the behalf of all beings,
to all Buddhas, Dharma and Sangha everywhere,
may all guide us to swiftly attain the perfect purity
of calm and clear compassion and wisdom.
With this offering and universal aspiration,
may any merits created aid its fulfilment,
may I strive to personally actualise this wish,
and may others be inspired to do so too.’
True aspirations lead to true actions.
If they do not lead to enough action,
they are not true enough as yet.– Stonepeace | Books
