Even the tolerant
find it challenging
to tolerate intolerance.

Even the truly tolerant
face the challenge
to tolerate intolerance.

  • That was nice. I loved the wordplay. It’s true, though. I think sometimes people take for granted those who are most tolerant as a source that is immune. It’s difficult to be calm and collected in the face of the unjustly. Being tolerant, as is being a like-minded and understanding individual, is typically a choice and not a natural function. It’s the intent to choose tolerance that is important, even if sometimes we slip up. To choose and choose again the loving path. To universally understand that behind the choice is a struggle. That sometimes choosing to be good is the harder path, but what matters is the fact that the choice was made.
