Your blessings taken for granted
might have already begun
to disappear from your life,
and you would not even know this,
since you take them for granted.

For the good people, matters and things in my life,
no matter how small and seemingly ‘insignificant‘,
that I take for granted, that I do not seem to deserve,
may I have gratitude and be thankful,
as they arise from my positive karma
manifesting through the efforts of many around me…

for this is how to treasure my blessings
and make them grow to greater ones.
Of course, I should share these ‘rights’ best I can,
but remember that I am also going to the best Pure Land too,
to learn from the best, to be the best,
to best help all beings, to treasure their blessings too. Amituofo!

For the not so good people, matters and things in my life,
no matter how great and seemingly ‘inexcusable‘,
that I take too hard, that I do not seem to deserve,
may I have repentance and be sorry,
as they arise from my negative karma
manifesting through the conditions of many around me…

for this is how to realise my misgivings
and make them shrink to lesser ones.
Of course, I should right these ‘wrongs’ best I can,
but remember that I am also going to the best Pure Land too,
to learn from the best, to be the best,
to best help all beings, to realise their misgivings too. Amituofo!

Your misgivings taken for granted
might have already begun
to grow in your life,
and you would not even know this,
since you take them for granted.
